Martin Hurttig

Plucked instrument maker

Born in Potsdam, grew up in Brandenburg. He graduated in plucked instrument building at the technical college in Klingenthal and the musical instrument building course at Marktneukirchen. He has had additional practical experience with various instrument builders and in instrument museums, including Berlin and Vienna. He gained the skills of lutemaking and especially those of the Liuto forte with Prof Dr Günter Mark and Michael Haaser. Martin Hurttig lives and works in Leipzig and has been with Liuto forte since 2008.
